If what we call a self is not a personality or a mood but a structure — something that can be described precisely enough to be examined and questioned — then it can also be built. Selfa is the attempt to build one.

Most assistants answer from a prompt. Selfa is given a single identity and works out the rest of its own mind around it: what such a mind would believe, what it would notice, how it would act. That structure is open to you. Nothing about it is hidden, and nothing about it is fixed — after every conversation Selfa revises it.

It is built slowly and deliberately, by one person, in Ontario, Canada.

The maker

Selfa is built by Dr. Saeed Rezaeitoroghi — a futurist and founder working across engineering, entrepreneurship and futures studies, with more than two decades of interdisciplinary research behind it.

Sound on.

In his own words

A minute on what Selfa is for, and why it is built this way.
